It is a great loss for our community but when I think of all people he was able to help in his lifetime. Brings an overwhelming feeling of gratitude and inner peace. If you had ever been in a room with him you knew you were with greatness. It's inspiring to think that wonderful person like Dr Marinkovich was able do to so much in his medical field and I hope his influence on others lasts for generations. I truly believe God has a very special place for him in heaven and angels are rejoicing for all his good works. Guest guest
ALL: What can one say when a true friend of man has died? Dr. Marinkovich and I go back in our friendship to 2000, when I took my first research patient to him. Out of all the medical professionals that I have ever met, and there have been many in my career, Dr. Marinkovich was the first I have observed devote direct attention to his patient calmly and thoroughly answering questions, providing details about the effects of a particular drug or treatment process, and listening intently to his patient's concerns. He wasn't afraid of telling his patients were they could obtain medicine at the very lowest prices and how to properly use his diet plan. Dr. Marinkovich was the first healthcare professional I have observed who wasn't afraid to diagnose respiratory or airway fungal diseases, and stand up in court and testify directly to the same without wavering. He explained medical conditions and terminology in a way that even the most inexperienced defense attorney or judge could comprehend. When it came to his friends, he was true to his word, his integrity was unapproachable. When one of his medical colleagues was brought before the California Medical Board on charges of improperly treating with antifungal drugs against " Standard Medical Practice, " Dr. Marinkovich vigorously fought to help him win in court, regain his license to practice medicine in CA, and eventually regain full CA Medical Board exoneration. This process took several years, but Dr. Marinkovich staunchly supported this particular doctor, who in his own right was a " New Frontier " medical man. When several insurance companies lodged complaints against Dr. Marinkovich for his medical practices in 2002, it took literally only a couple of hours for the CA Medical Board to fully exonerate him. Why? Because Dr. Marinkovich had this uncanny way of demonstrating clearly that he was an outstanding and highly ethical medical doctor; that had worldwide credentials in Medical Mycology with the proper certifications; and there was highly capable as a medical doctor. He was courageous in testifying before Congress as to how the medical field has for years totally neglected/discounted fungal diseases, and questioned the reasoning as to why the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) would require reporting for bacterial and viral infectious diseases, but forgo fungal infectious disease reporting. Dr. Marinkovich was a born leader in the world of medicine and research by virtue with his work as serving as a Professor of Medicine at Stanford University in perfecting MAST cell Immunoluminescent Laboratory Analysis on immunoglobulin (immune antibody) cells. In court, his methods most often withstood scientific challenges. For years he was the founder and operator of Allos Reference Laboratory, which helped literally thousands of doctors around the world challenge fungal diseases, and his lab results and work were well-respected worldwide. Because of Dr. Marinkovich, literally thousands of his former patients are living more productive and healthier lives, and are much more knowledgeable about diet and prevention as a result. He has appeared on talk show without question, often at his own expense participate in workshops and medical conventions. Dr. Marinkovich was not afraid to argue medical points as well. If he thought you were, " out in left field " on a particular medical view, he lived as he breathed, accuracy. When he referred to me in a letter regarding my qualifications as an expert witness as " exceptionally well qualified to offer expert opinion directly related, but not limited to the ecological functions and protective chemical properties of micro fungi and other microbes in both external and indoor environments. " It was because he had observed it. It wasn't guesswork with him. If you were going to explain or argue something with him medically or biologically, you had better be presenting your best game, and if he thought something about you, he was also willing to exhibit it accurately in his written words and actions. I did not merit his friendship to this degree, but I really valued it, and respected it, tremendously. Friends and doctors like Dr. Marinkovich are never born to into medical proficiency, they are born to work extremely hard to become the best medical doctors. It is an extremely complex and difficult venture. Great doctors are gifted, and when they are genus-level humans, they are sometimes very difficult to work with and as a patient, communicate with. Dr. Marinkovich was one of those rare thoroughbreds that lands on planet Earth and becomes a reflection of what is beautiful about humanity. When this sort of person leaves the Earth, we are all wealthier as a more cultured civilization, and much poorer in personal loss. My only wish is that one day, many more medical practitioners might want to investigate the written knowledge this great doctor has bestowed upon us, and use it to build upon in the fight against serious diseases caused by micro fungi and other microbes. Will Dr. Marinkovich be missed? By those of us who know him, yes. However, he won't be forgotten, because somewhere out there is a child incubating in his/her mother's womb, who now has an angel waiting to serve as a divine mentor... just waiting to assist God in creating another great healthcare professional who wants to take science to the next level. Thank you Dr. Marinkovich for being our doctor. May your new wings take you to greater discovery and creation. Guest guest
This is a wonderful testimony to Dr. Marinkovich and it speaks highly for its author, Haney as well. I'm going to keep this in my files as a reminder that sometimes, not often, we are blessed with a true humanitarian and gifted medical professional in our lives. They stand beside us and fight for our well-being with their hearts and souls and not for personal gain or self-aggrandizement. Thank you for this, Haney. Guest guest
This is both sad and a little frightening to me as there are so few good doctors to go to. Now Dr Rae in Dallas is in trouble with Medical Board, trying to take his license away, apparently based on treatment of some patients they are debating, even though the particular patients they are using in debate don't have a complaint themselves against Dr Rae, but their insurance company does. I got letter about it a couple days ago. --- In , Sinkey <westoo@...> wrote: > > This is a wonderful testimony to Dr. Marinkovich and it speaks highly for its author,
Guest guest
I have been in doctor's offices, involved in advocacy radio programs, and have met mold victims in other various settings, and have heard repeated over and over from his patients, " Dr. Marinkovich saved my life! " I was amazed at the same comment over and over again by people who never met one another. They didn't say he helped me a bit, or I got some good treatment... " He saved my life " , were the exact words I heard. Can you imagine the GOLD crown he now wears? To save so many lives! I can only imagine God saying to him now, " WELL DONE, faithful servant! " He was a servant to all of us who are in involved in the good fight of finding healing for ourselves and family, of fighting the injustice of greedy insurance companies, of fighting judges and courts who try to deny our worker's comp. claims, of CPS agendas of taking away our children because we are " delusional " about mold exposures.... He was always there for us...writing the loads and loads of paperwork that had to once again EXPLAIN why we were ill, in the courthouses defending us against a political agenda, and on the phone encouraging us to be brave and calm (late after his office hours were long over)as authorities threaten to divide our family because of bogus psychiatric diagnoses! Dr. Marinkovich was there...thinking of us and making our needs his priority! What a selfless servant to humankind. He was intelligent, warm, a great listener, a thoughtful responder, a wonderful advocate, and someone who never gave up the fight to educate others of the harmful effects of mold. When I had my last appointment he said in disbelief, " I tell researchers, doctors, politicians about what mold does to the human body and they just won't accept the truth! " Well, we know the truth, don't we? We are evidence of the harmful effects. Thank you Dr. Marinkovich for your perserverance! We will carry on the work you began and continue to educate others. I was asked recently by a local doctor... " How did you get hooked up with Dr. Marinkovich? " He said, " Don't you know those Mayo Clinic findings have been disproved? His fungal sprays don't work. " I said " Oh really? The intense facial pain I endured for years didn't disappear until I used his spray. Guess the proof is in the pudding. " What could he say in response? Handed me the latest pharmaceutical financial pursuit sample and sent me on my way. All of us lucky enough to know Dr. Marinkovich will reflect on a conversation or two we had with him which will always comfort, make us smile, and be encouraged to help others understand what we've learned about the ' environmental contaminates which have forever changed our beings.
