Guest guest
I do not have lyme, my son does. I can tell you that pain can be so horrible that if pain is not treated, there would be no quality of life left many people without relief. Lyme can be painful but is not the only disease that caues pain and I personally know about many of these medications and there is a need for them. I pray you never have an illness that would cause you to have seek relief or not want to live with such pain. Theses medications have a place in our medical society. I am the state leader for American Pain foundation, so I talk to many people with diseases that need these meds. Always ask many questions before you start this kind of therapy and talk to you doctor. These can cause dependancy, very few gets addicted when taking only for pain. Most all cases are because of abusers that do not take as prescribed. According to (IOM) The Institiute Of Medicine. 116 million adults have chronic pain on a daily basis in America. That's 1 in 4. Not all take these meds on daily basis but many need to. The population has exploded to such an increase that are 7 billion people world wide, with new painful diseases. Please be educated before starting on painmeds. If you get dependant then you are to blame and need to be weaned off. It's not the medications fault. No one made anyone open their mouths and take it. it's your choice. Be knowledgable. > http://www.alternet.org/story/153576/the_10_most_dangerous_meds_driving_america > > The Top 10 Most Dangerous Rx Drugs in America > > This list of brand name and generic drugs was compiled from the Drug Abuse > Warning Network's (DAWN's) database of emergency room visits in 2009, > including drug poisonings that lead to both deaths and survivals. > > 1.
