Guest guest
Wrong diagnosis: depression- Good for you Dana. Lets also not forget that being sick, losing your job/or home, as most of us have, will make NORMAL people depressed for normal reasons, and taking antidepressants won't put your life back together or make you well. Antidepressants are big money-makers for drug companies, because they are Rxed long term. That's their 'cup of tea', medicines that are Rxed for long term, not things that make you better in 10 days. Drug company sales people push these drugs to doctors who Rx them to their patients, particularly patients that have symptoms they don't know how to diagnose correctly. --- In , " gsgrl2000 " <gsgrl2000@...> wrote: > > Yes KC, Thanks for posting " Recognizing Neurotoxicity " by > Singer and Dana Darby . >
Guest guest
Hi Dana, I have to say that I appreciate your effort. It will be a tough fight but beneficial to all of us. I wanted to add that my former PCP who couldn't diagnose me put me on Lexapro during a period where the toxins were all through my body. I took one Lexapro because of course according to her it was all in my head. I almost died due to another secondary condition caused by Mycotoxicosis. I ended up getting diagnosed with Secondary Adrenal Insufficiency and my endocrinologist said that I probably came close to adrenal crisis when this happened. This is when your organs fail and you die. My PCP at the time told me not to call her office anymore and to wait until my next appointment to come in so I told my husband that if something happened to me tell them something is wrong with my adrenal glands. This happened six months prior to my diagnosis of Secondary Adrenal Insufficiency and ten months before my diagnosis of Mycotoxicosis caused by a medical procedure so even then I knew more then my doctor. It's frustrating to say the least. Sharon
