Guest guest
I frequently transport patients to other hospitals than the local ED. When a patient requests transport to a facility, I will take them to that facility unless I do not feel that the patient is stable enough to make the longer journey. The way I look at the situation is that it is a patient right. I believe that it the patient's decision as to where they want to go, unless I do not believe they are stable enough to make the trip. If not stable enough, send me the helicopter. Alan W. Wells, EMT-P Do other services transport patients to other hospitals from home before they are evaluated at the local ED?
