Each lab has its own ranges, derived from statistics, which may include some hypothyroid folks in the "normal" group. The levels where you feel well are highly individual and specific to each person. Individual doctors have certains levels they like to see. But the lab results are not the bottom line.

I feel well with my Free T4 at about 65% of its range and my Free T3 at the very top of its range or a few ticks over. We have not seen any measurable TSH for the last ten years. If I should get even slightly overmedicated, my typical symptom is joint pain. Most other folks would be bouncing off the ceiling with these numbers.
