volunteer with creative arts therapists!

Hi List,Mercy Home is seeking volunteers for its free creative arts therapy program, which runs on Saturdays from 10:30-3:00.  Located in the Clinton Hill area of Brooklyn (near Pratt), we provide group music therapy, art therapy, and dance/movement therapy for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and address goals of social skills and free creative expression.  Our volunteers serve an essential role in the groups by providing hand-over-hand assistance with the children when needed, and working alongside the therapists to help the children attain their goals.  With a little bit of extra paperwork, this can also be a fieldwork/practicum experience, if approved by the fieldwork/practicum student's school.
