One Nashville woman said mold has made her family sick . Everyday, lives in fear. She is afraid to breathe the air in her on rental home, afraid of getting sicker and is afraid her daughter will grow ill when she visits. , 43, said fungal spores saturate her duplex and it has been that way for almost four years. Her doctor said her home is threatening her health. Because the mold is... ....so bad in her duplex, the Metro Health Department investigated. Investigator Reyes ordered the home owner to repair a leak in the air conditioner that Reyes said appears to be the source of the problem. She said mold affects more Tennesseans than you might realize. According to investigators, Tennessee has no laws governing mold, which is why the health department can only focus on eliminating potential moisture sources that cause the growth. is moving out of the apartment after she said her landlord has evicted her. Her landlord spoke with News 2. He said has every right to evict her. Hesaid didn't have a lease, and to remediate the problem, he needs the property vacated.
