Guest guest
Special Education Graduate Program in Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis Tuition and Book Assistance Available! The Special Education Program at Texas State University-San Marcos offers a master of education degree in special education with a concentration in Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) has approved the required coursework and the onsite provision of intensive BCBA supervision in the Texas State University Clinic for Autism Research, Evaluation, and Support (CARES). For individuals who intend to teach students with autism in public schools, federal support funds are available in the form of tuition and book assistance through the Texas Educators for Students with Autism (TESA) program. These funds were awarded by the federal Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) for the purpose of preparing highly qualified special education teachers in the area of autism. Students accepted to the TESA program will be required to pay back the tuition and book assistance through service (2 years teaching for each year of assistance). Funds are available to support ten (10) graduate students who enter the TESA program in Fall 2012. The deadline for application to Texas State Graduate College is June 15th for Fall 2012 admission.
