Guest guest
sorry to hear of your struggles. I don't live in the Philly area so don't know of any doctors there but maybe if you research preventitive doctors in your area you may find one that will treat you naturally with herbs or even IV treatments may help. I can't tolerate many drugs either so I try to stick with naturall remedies but even some of those I'm allergic to and can not tolerate. Also, try to find things that will help boost your immune system and help your digestive system; that helped me with my sensitivities and my weight lose. Good Luck, Dana
Guest guest
thanks for responding, Dana... this area is like the dark ages in terms of medical care (I used to live in SF)... tried IVs and am not sure if I was reacting to the substances or their preservatives... even the alternative docs are afraid to try things with me because my reactivity is so great... aargh... can tolerate some basic supplements orally... but every day brings a new set of symptoms... I have no idea how people manage this for years... peace to you, arlene
Guest guest
#1 find some way of detox. This is essential (underline this statement)as long as you continue to carry mold toxins, you will be in trouble. #1a get out of any exposure and cross contamination. #2 IMO you will have to forget about the typical yogic diet. Your ability to utilize nutrients and synthesize essential compounds has been compromised. I found I had to swithc to a high protein and high fat diet. As I adjusted my diet, I was better equipped to deal with any triggering exposures and or figure out how to avoid them. Being in a weakened state leads to general vulnerability, I have some reactions to CSM but for me at the moment the benefits far outweigh the problems especially given the protection that CSM provides from furthere exposures. A friend of mine cannot tolerate it at all but manages on Welchol. If you need to, find an herbal method that works for you. But I can't see bypassing a toxin binding regimen. My first bout of severe MCS lasted 5 years and then moderated for years. I considered myself mostly cured for a long time. I then had some serious toxic exposure and am much worse than ever. All systems pretty messed up. You may or may not be able to get better. There is plenty of evidence that inhalation of mycos causes direct brain damage and there is no sure way to determing who will improve and/or how long it take. YMMV Peace and Best Wishes, S
