Guest guest
Dr. Shoemaker is by all accounts the best doctor who treats mold illness. He's clearly a class act and his book Mold Warriors is a must read. He is in Pokemoke, land, which is served by some local feeder airlines. Many people fly to Baltimore or Washington, I gather, and then rent a car. They stay in hotels while they receive treatment. Dr. Shoemaker is, I understand very, very good and he is also very good about getting as many parts of it covered by insurance as is currently possible, but in general, insurance companies get away with paying much less than they should so people have to prepay to some extent. That makes this not such a great option for working people, especially those facing the loss of pensions that they were working for many years at well below prevailing wages for their fields and skillsets to get. It would be nice if people also didn't have to travel 3000 miles to get what really should be routine medical care for a not uncommon condition. The way it seems to me is that the formerly prosperous but now declining American system is being looted by well connected thieves on a national scale of everything that can be taken which is valuable. Part of that gold rush is powerful, already rich entities trying to extract profits out of deteriorated facilities and poor people's remaining health. Of course, to speak the truth is forbidden so it punishes them for complaining about it as they get sick. Doctors are caught in the middle but they get the message that they WILL be punished if they help these poor people. So only a very few have the courage to risk it all to help the victims. People like Dr. Shoemaker.
