Guest guest
I have a pt w/upper body tremors. He says that they are aggravated by temperature and emotional matters (which I'm addressing). He can hit a steady beat while holding a maraca and beating a tambourine w/tremors and gets fatigued after about 10-20 seconds. He cannot stop on command. He sits in a wheelchair. Please share your ideas.Thanks.-- Shoshana AverbachLMSW, MA, MT-BC, LCAT, Accredited Healerhealingnotes.comListen to my CD at cdbaby.com/shoshanaaverbach
Guest guest
Hi, I am Dance/Movement Therapist working in a nursing home at Brooklyn. I and my coworker,a dance/movement therapist, just start to run a dance/movement therapy group with Parkinson patients. They have a typical symptom of tremors on their hands and also all sitting on wheelchairs. For our experiences so far, to get more awareness of body sensation is our priority. By following their body awareness, we tried to let them reach out of their arms in sustain and slow, light effort. From there, we will keep going to find out their potential. I do invite other professional provide more idea and suggestion. Thanks! Sheau-Ling Duh, MS,MA,LCAT, BC-DMT > > I have a pt w/upper body tremors.
