Guest guest
As Isuprel drips went by the wayside so did Calcium Chloride used in ACLS. What was it we used Calcium Chloride for anyway? To answer your question: We were not taught about pacing, chest decompression, surgical airways, updrafts (they were still using IPPB in the ED), and anything more than lead II, (pre hospital 12 lead's weren't even a dream in a cardiologist mind, one ED. we transported to their 12 leads were transmitted to another hospital for reading.) Today I precept EMS students for two college EMS programs, I take major trauma to a local level III trauma center, and I actually get to talk to my medical director on the Med. Con. Line (almost unheard of in the 80's.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ eGroups.com home: /group/ - Simplifying group communications
