Guest guest
Dear Community, Just a follow up regarding Civil Service titles/pay and the following questions: Are there consequences for Civil Service should they decide against changing titles? Are there consequences for Civil Service should they continue to hire under the "Rec Therapist" title and have LCAT’s work for a lesser salary under such a title? There are no provisions to require changes, e.g., changes in law. However, it is reported by the OOP that Civil Service is working on titles and taking a look at any clarification that might have come about through the report and meetings with various associations. The Mental Health Counseling Association has reported that Civil Service has been receptive to discussions. If you are a Dance, Drama, etc. therapist you may want to write your organization(s) to request that they hold their own meetings with Civil Service. Strength in numbers. The discussions will be had. The changes though are not required by law.
