Guest guest
Hi Everyone I received an email yesterday from a person who makes beds for children with special needs. I understand that some children with special needs do need a special bed, but I can not imagine why a child with Down syndrome would need this special bed. (It is a nice bed and very attractive) The premise of the email was for people with Down syndrome to have this bed. He would like a testimony from our organization about the beds. But, I can not imagine why a person with MDS or Ds would need this bed. (unless they had another dx along with MDS that required special care) Can you all look at this site and let me know what you think about the bed? www.bedsbygeorge.com Thanks Kristy
Guest guest
Kristy, I couldn't pull up the website (I cut and pasted) but if this is a bed that will keep Austin IN IT & OUT OF MINE, helps his snoring (it's awful LOL), then I'm all for it! Yes Austin does on occaision sleep all over the bed, but that's getting better (I no longer wake up to his feet in my nose...) and sometimes if he gets too hot at night he'll get on the floor (on those rare occaisions that he stays in his room...) and he hasn't been a door stop in at least a week...LOL Becky God Bless, Rowe www.myspace.com/beckyrowe5150 Bed specially made for Ds? Guest guest
I got it that time! I honestly don't see how this would or could or can help our kids with MDS...it seems like these beds are more for seizure prone kids than those that aren't. They are beautiful, no doubt and I'm sure that they would be great....just not for DS or MDS kids....besides I can see Austin jumpin over them side doors rather quickly! And for those of you who have not yet met Tim, Kristy's son, I have and I can attest to his Speech ablility....and he's got a sense of humor as well as not liking his picture been taken in secret LOL Becky PS Kristy, I still have that picture of Tim dancing with Leonard if you need it for bribes......LOL God Bless, Rowe www.myspace.com/beckyrowe5150 Bed specially made for Ds?
