After my hot water heater flooded my basement, now, after clean up, I

like to be sure I have the best prevention for the future.

I have heard about A O Conservationist(?) water heater, Rheem,

Kenmore,.., etc any opinion as to which one is the most reliable?

Also, to keep the air healthy, among humidex, dehumidifier, and Radon

eliminator( which also draw air out of the basement ), which is the

best choice?

Thanks!

Our plumber has our water heater sitting on bricks in a plastic pan which

has an attached PVC drain that runs to the sump pump just incase of a leak. That

way it doesn't end up on the floor. We also have the Basement System SaniDry

dehumidifier/air purifier which is a very impressive unit. RH has been

running between 38 to 42% all summer. Basement smells nice and fresh, My

husband

painted DryLock on the walls and plans on painting the floor soon as soon as

the humidity is gone and we can open up the basement windows to paint. For

info on the SaniDry go to _http://www.instadry.com/SaniDry.html_

(http://www.instadry.com/SaniDry.html) you can call the main office for a

dealer near you.

If you need any help finding one just let me know I'll try to help.
