Come celebrate the longest day of the year, the pinicle of the light. From

this pivotal point we begin the slow descent back into to the darkness. It is a

wonderful time to contemplate the balance between the light and the dark in our

lives and in our psyche. through meditation, mantra, intuitive listening, and

creative expression we will investigate tools that create the space to be

mindful around our darker more uncomfortable emotions. In this ritual we will

investigate the possibilities of growth spirtually and physically through

accepting, befriending, and listening to that which we most want to run from.

Marisa has been teaching yoga, meditation, prayer, vision and positive creative

self expansion blending in her love for psychodrama and theater for 16 years.

She has led workshops, classes and performed at Jivamukti Yoga Center, Om Yoga

Center, Laughing Lotus and Go Yoga. She specializes in self-empowered female

sexuality, birthing, fertility and parenting in her workshops and classes. She

works privately with clients teaching ancient meditation, ritual, prayer and

chanting to serve modern day anxieties and blocked vision. Marisa loves

bringing yoga and to those who might nnot normally practice. She has a special

passion for working with the elderly and has served in nursing homes for 14

years, sharing yoga and honoring our elders' wisdom. In the past few years she

added teaching children yoga and meditation in the public schools, helping them

find peace with the insanity of public education in New York City.
