Guest guest
Last night the hearing notice was posted for HB3589. This morning I met with the legislative assistants for seven of the nine members of the House Transportation Committee and also with Representative Keel's staff. Monday I will meet with the remainder of the committee members. The hearing will be Tuesday, April 13, in room E2.030 in the Capitol Annex at 3:00 P.M.or upon adjournment, which means the later of 3:00 P.M. or the adjournment of the legislative session for the day. There are about 25 bills scheduled to be heard at this hearing, and their order is not known yet. I plan to be there until HB3589 is heard, but if any of you would like to drop by, you are welcome. I have heard that the Chairman of the committee prefers people to come by the committee room about a half hour before the scheduled start ( 2:30 P.M. -- regardless of the time the legislature ends for the day) and sign a card of support, and then leave. It appears he doesn't like crowded conference rooms. If you decide to come down, parking is almost impossible. I will update all of you Wednesday.
