Guest guest Posted August 13, 2012 Report Share Posted August 13, 2012 Hi there. I thought I would add to the discussion on symptoms related to thyroid suppression due to pap thyca in Jan of 05. It took me several years to really feel " normal " . Currently I am taking 125 mcg of Unithroid and 10 of Cytomel in a divided dose. I have been on Cytomel for about a year and a half. It really seemed to help me have more consistent energy. However, sometime after I started the cytomel I started having more female issues...occasional breakthrough spotting, along with having my cycle closer together (the close cycle actually started with just the unithroid at a higher dosage). About a month ago I started having a little higher bp and faster pulse along with what felt like heart paps. I reduced the cytomel to 1 to 1 1/2 per day and I am feeling much better regarding cardiac issues. I am due to have blood work this week and am praying for good results. Also, I had a female check up earlier this year and everything checked out okay. I did some research on the internet and found that there are others who seem to suffer from similar female issues related to cytomel. Any comments would be appreciated.
