In a message dated 99-02-14 00:52:09 EST, you write:

<< So stop whining and get yourself a degree. You can do it.

I don't mean this to be mean spirited. I'm just tired of people knocking

education.

AMEN, Gene. Thank you for putting what most of those who have given of their

time, sweat, money, hard work, and time away from their family to get an

education so well. Yes, I too believe that everyone can get an education if

they so desire. I too paid for all of my college education myself. I held a

full time job, a part time job, and completed college courses at the same

time. Work? Yes, it is work. But it can be done. Education is a wonderful

thing and I urge everyone to further their education in whatever field they

desire.

It is a shame that rather than attempting to work together and build up

paramedicine and have it recognized as a PROFESSION, there are those among us

who are attempting to downplay and condemn education, education that will

cause us to be viewed as professionals. I believe this can all be summed up

in Luke 17:17

" .....a house divided against itself will fail. "

Come on people, let's get together and work to further our educations and our

profession.

Have a Great Day!
