Guest guest
I also thought this was an excellent video. I have had many if not most of these symptoms for years and have been to Dr. after Dr., taken pill after pill, test after test. It really all hit the fan when the home I was renting is infected with mold. I believe CFS can certainley be caused by biotoxic illness and mold exposure. Worth sending this one around again. I've been so sick it took me months to getting around to watching it!! xoxoxo to all @...: ssr3351@...: Sun, 25 Nov 2007 09:22:08 -0500Subject: Re: [] CFS/M.E. on YouTube This is excellent just wish it actually mentioned mold illness so some family members and friends would take me seriously.SueM.E. on YouTube.I hope some of you will be interested in checkingout this video. Guest guest
I think the reason we are in a national state of denial is because people think it would be expensive to fix. It wouldn't be if we made it a national priority. But if they do that a lot of people who are making losts of money keeping things as they are will not be happy. Look at how many doctors people see for things that they now realize are mold related. Thats a significant percentage of the total illnesses that are out there, and they are also chronic. Which means a LOT of money is spent in dealing with them, usually non-effectively. I heard yesterday that ONE HALF of the people in nursing homes are there because of supposed " Alzheimers " . Sure, a lot of them must actually be alzheimers patients, but I would say that a considerable percentage of the others are older people with advanced mold illness (which I think causes vascular dementia, which is basically cerebral hypoperfusion as a symptom of systemic inflammation.) who have been misdiagnosed as having alzheimers. Suppose that these people were cured, most have given up their homes. Some might conceivably regain enough of their facilities to go back to living independently. But where would we house them? They would fall out of the convenient box that they are in for payment and enter a box in which they are expected to pay for their own expenses in a situation in which they no longer have whatever support network which they had before sinking into their " senility " . But it has to be done. If its possible, we have to free these people from the cage of mold-induced mental insufficiency, as much as we find it to perhaps be possible in each individual case. The same thing applies to all of us, to a lesser extent. Right now, for each of us, whatever investments we made in our education, in our families, in our futures, are to some extent wasted, because we are sick. Someone else, typically, saved themselves some money, but we got sick because of that and the cost to us was far higher than they saved. How can we get better. In past ages, there was something called a " weregild " which was paid to people who were injured, or their families if they were killed, or the families would enter a blood fued. Now the people who do these things are protected, but the system that was put forward to 'settle' disputes is nonfunctional for those unable to pay for justice. So there is little if any accountability, it seems. The legal system is not available to most people. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weregild
Guest guest
This is what gets me, I know it has to be mold with at least some of these folks also. But they don't know it and if you try to tell them they Deny it. Very difficult, how do you get the message out without seeming arrogant? Also anyone notice how most of these videos are coming from Britain? Very interesting. I wonder if it's because they have an explosion of cases over there or if it's just because their making videos and people in other countries are not. I saw a tragic one where this poor woman was living in an old wooden structure with green mold growing on the outside.(the house should be demolished) Completly bed ridden and unfourtunally lost most of her sanity. And the people promoting the video never once mention mold as a possible cause. Just focus on extreme chemical avoidance. Very sad. Guest guest
many probably base their belief on what their doctors tested for and told them. I believe in most cases fungi supresses our immune system and allows for other toxins, maybe sometimes already hiding in our body to get activated. if doctors dont look at the whole picture, like what comes first and only test for viruses, they than blame it on that only. > > > This is excellent just wish it actually mentioned mold illness so some > > family members and friends would take me seriously. > > > > Sue > > > > > > > > > > > > M.E. on YouTube. > > I hope some of you will be interested in checking > > out this video. Guest guest
EXCELLENT THOUGHTS!! I have many times thought about all the poor people in nursing homes and just many older people in general who have multiple health issues and not one really knows whats wrong. Very frightening and very sad. Then think about all the kids in moldy schools they won't even make it to a nursing home! Sue I think the reason we are in a national state of denial is because people think it would be expensive to fix. It wouldn't be if we made it a national priority. Guest guest
There was a small segment on news tonight about studies showing how the amount of time spent outside has diminished over the years, and the impact of that. Of course one reason is probably computers, but the internet has made so much information available. However the fact we all spend so much time indoors, and that indoor air is much worse quality than outdoor, makes this an important issue, particularly for our children, who segment pointed out has had little experience with out door activities. > Then think about all the kids in moldy schools they won't even make it to a > nursing home! > > Sue
Guest guest
As far as breathing healthy air, I think the cost of energy has been the main reason why people are not getting fresh air indoors. People often don't realize how important it is. Simply spending time 'away from home' is no panacea either. The places one spends it air quality can vary quite a bit. For example, time spent at school or work, or time in the car, on streets or on highway.. I doubt if many people get out into the country much at all. Lots of urban people don't even own cars. Guest guest
Well, no, children are playing outdoors like they used to but so many games on computer and socializing online too. Computers definately add more from life than take away but this has to be addressed, not only for a change from indoor air but for the sunshine also. ...and yes, just 'changing' of air, being in 'some place' different is better than being in same air all the time, since every place is polluted with 'something', and changing from one condition of air to another gives the body a break from type of pollutant which makes it easier for body to handle. Interestingly, Farmer's Lung, which is a condition of fungal lung infection, named because farmer's have it frequently due to handling of hay and grains that are moldy around farm, the second most likely group to get " Farmers' Lung " are 'housewifes', i.e. people who usually stay at home. I posted this to group about 2-3 years ago but have lost the link now. --- In , LiveSimply <quackadillian@...> wrote: > > As far as breathing healthy air, I think the cost of energy has been > the main reason why people are not getting fresh air indoors. > People often don't realize how important it is. >
Guest guest
Yesterday, after reading the postings here. We had a nice little rain. After the rain, I opened my windows. The wind was blowing and the wind blew all through my house. I left the windows opened for about 3 hours. I have aired this house before but not to this extent with all the wind blowing. I had my central fan on to catch any dust in the filter. I did check the mold index before opening anything up and it was very low. We have been in a drought so mold is not an issue outside now. The house smelled so fresh! Like laundry my mom use to hang on the clothes line! Best of all, I did not wake up with a headache! I think there is still sheet rock dust in my air so this airing really made a world of difference! > > Well, no, children are playing outdoors like they used to but so many > games on computer and socializing online too.
