Guest guest
Steroids have an effect of reducing inflammation and they also suppress the immune system - I don't think the mechanism by which this happens is fully understood yet, but its unavoidable with them. This makes people particularly vulnerable to colonization by fungi. This has been known for a long time, its not just Dr. Shoemaker saying it. Immunosuppressive compounds (like many mycotoxins!) do similar things. All of these bodily processes are related in complicated ways. For example, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclosporine " Cyclosporin is an immunosuppressant drug widely used post-allogeneic organ transplant to reduce the activity of the patient's immune system and so the risk of organ rejection. It has been studied in transplants of skin, heart, kidney, lung, pancreas, bone marrow and small intestine. Ciclosporin A, the main form of the drug, is a cyclic nonribosomal peptide of 11 amino acids (an undecapeptide) produced by the fungus Tolypocladium inflatum Gams, initially isolated from a Norwegian soil sample. " As you see many immunosuppressive/chemotherapy drugs ARE mycotoxins or are derived from them structurally. That is how they were discovered. Thats why its wrong to allow people to manufacture these immunosuppressive drugs in water damaged buildings which are being used as living or working spaces, by not maintaining them. Water damaged buildings, each with hundreds or thousands of different colonies of different species of molds typically growing in them, are chemical factories, literally. > > >It has been > quoted that he says taking steriods with fungal disease is like > pouring gas on a fire,
Guest guest
I absolutely agree with you on this however when your body doesn't produce cortisol that is also life threatening. I almost went into adrenal crisis about five times. You are so right though I have to get off of them soon. I'm working with a biotoxin savvy doctor and I've gone from 20mg. a day to 12.5mg. Tomorrow if all goes well I'm going down to 10mg. Thanks for the excellent information. I believe every bit of what you posted. Wish me luck in getting off these dreadful drugs. Guest guest
You know I am working with a doctor that has developed protocol for mold that grows inside the body. She is very good. I did read that in his book and my MSH is less than 8 with normal being 35-80 so I know the danger. I recently asker her if I could go down quicker and she said yes but if I start to have symptoms of adrenal crisis I should go back up. I'm thinking I will decrease by another 2.5mg tomorrow and I know I'm going to be okay short of something stressful happening. It took me five years to get diagnoses and many doctors. In the end it was me mostly and another member of a discussion group who ended up figuring it all out. She had worked with Dr. Shoemaker and the doctor I am seeing and recommended the doctor I am seeing as someone who was a better fit. I have been on treatment for almost a month. When will I start feeling better? Anyone. barb1283 <barb1283@...> wrote: Sharon, you may want to check out what Dr Shoemaker has to say about steriods in Mold Warriors and see if it may apply to you. It has been quoted that he says taking steriods with fungal disease is like pouring gas on a fire, but I do not want to misquote so check out what the book says and discuss with your doctor or Dr Shoemaker if you can see him. --- In , Sharon Hanson <shha2002@...> wrote: > > I take steroids and I'm on a bunch of supplements as well as an anti fungal drug. Guest guest
Good question . I'm not sure but I believe I am on a supplement that binds toxins. I wonder also if it's because although my body has a fungal infection and has had one for five years it could be that I don't have the HLA-DR markers and I would be able to clear the toxins but this I'm not sure about either. More homework great question.
