I have been posting a little here and there. You all met me through my mother

in law who posted originally. I thought I would introduce myself a little more.

I am a 24 year old mother of a precious 8 month old. I was dx with carpal

tunnel syndrome in both hands with the nerve conduction test in 1995. I was

also dx with endometriosis in March 1997. I had my daughter July 1998. After a

few months I began to have all over muscle and joint pain. This is actually

what took me to the doctor. When she started asking questions I realized that I

have been having some balance problems for about 2 years at least. When walking

I would sorta miss the ground. I would joke it off that the earth rotated out

from underneath me (I never fell just stumbled). I have had HA's as long as I

can remember. It was always put off as being from birth control pills or just

that time of the month. The doctor did a neurological exam and then decided to

do an MRI of my brain to rule out MS. This scared me half to death, but you

need to know. This is when I got my ACM-1 dx. This was Feb of this year. I

submerged myself in all of the info that I could find and am now at the point of

getting a second opinion. My first NS had the personality of a board and he

recommended surgery after a trial of Diamox for 7 days. Aside from being very

irritable and tired, it made the headaches go away. When I went off of it they

came back and they were mad that I sent them away. Has anyone used this med on

a long term basis? Anyhoot. That is pretty much my story.

Thank you for listening.
