Kathleen's Out of Surgery!!!

Just spoke with Jeff!!! The surgery lasted six hours. Kathleen was doing

well, Jeff did not know how long she would be in recovery...he has not seen

her yet but did talk to Milhorat. Kathleen is awake and is moving everything

....so that is good. They saw all the hardware he was going to put in her

head yesterday. Milhorat told Jeff everything went well, went right into

place. They actually fused c2 and c3 to the skull where c1 was congenitally

fused. They installed all the hardware and then put in the bone chips...Jeff

was unsure where the bone chips came from. Milhorat said even the stitching

her up just went right together.

Kathleen had asked Milhorat if he would take pictures with her camera

and he said don't worry about it and set up a digital camera. Jeff said he

has already seen some pretty incredible pictures. He is going to see if they

will save them to a disc for Kathleen.

Will keep everyone posted when I hear from Jeff again...Love, hugs and
