International Mosaic Down Syndrome Association will celebrate its 2nd annual GENES DAY on March 21st! March 21st is World Down Syndrome Day. Last year, we did a " trial run " just to see how things would go, but this year we are going WORLD-WIDE! What is Genes Day TM? Genes Day TM is International Mosaic Down Syndrome Association’s official celebration of mosaic Down syndrome. Participants donate money to wear their “jeans” on March 21st in the school or workplace and in return learn all about the special “genes” of mosaic Down syndrome! When is Genes Day TM? IMDSA’s second annual Genes DayTM is on March 21st. March 21st (3-21) is World Down Syndrome Day. World Down Syndrome Day was developed on March 21st to signify the third copy of the 21st chromosome found in Down syndrome. How much do I pay to wear my jeans? Suggested donations are ($1-$20) however, any amount is accepted. What do I get for participating? The three top donating team leaders will receive special donated items such as informational books, CD’s, DVD’s and promotional items. (actual items to be announced) Participants donating $25 or more will receive a special Genes Day T-shirt to wear proudly on March 21st! Team Leaders raising $100 or more will receive a complimentary one-year membership to IMDSA. You will learn all about mosaic Down syndrome! How do I participate? Start your OWN TEAM! Just go to www.imdsa.com/genesday.htm for all the details! You will have the opportunity to make your own personal website page and raise money online for YOUR TEAM! Also, we have provided for you printable flyers as well as lots of information and tips to help you get started! If requesting a T-shirt, money must be in by March 7th. Then, on March 21st wear your jeans to work or school! Have fun! Tell others about mosaic Down syndrome! With your help we can educate the world on the “designer genes” of mosaic Down syndrome!
