Guest guest
Unfortunately, when a " group " makes a policy statement, members who lack courage of conviction or a result that is not similar, feel free to " hide behind " the statement. It prevents a doctor to make an independent diagnosis. It places a roadblock in terms of treatment. It promotes internal intimidation. Sadly, the medical profession has disintegrated from one that was noble and independent with a 'word' that you could 'take to the bank " to one that is so full of land mines that only, the most adroit can navigate. It appears to be managed from the top down, and in the middle of a tug-of-war between the pharmaceutical companies and the insurers or self-insurers. Remember, when you work for a company or govt. agency - you are working for an " insurance company. " Bravo to the California Applicants Attorneys Association for risking life and limb, who know these medical policies don't pass the " smell test. " These doctors who operate behind the group dynamic have as much credibility as the Roman Catholic Church. Here's hoping the Thanksgiving Holiday will give them an opportunity to reflect upon those whom their policies have adversely affected, pick up a microbiology book or the Military Medical Text and collectively re-read the Hippocratic Oath. They need to self-police and clean house. snk1955@... a écrit : Hi All, FYI, our article that was in the IJOEH regarding industry's influence over ACOEM, seems to be making a bit of a stir, not just regarding mold but on a variety of illnesses. http://www.ijoeh.com/ Below are the California Applicant Attorneys' Association responses and the California Society of Industrial Medicine and Surgery's reply.
