Guest guest
We are all fighting a disease nobody knows about. The doctors are trying but they are pretty helpless because a cure isnt known and the effects we live with every day are pretty terrible.Anyway Ive had this disease for about 10 or 12 years. Before that doctors thought I had allery trouble. When bronchiectasis was disagnosed it was mild and then after a pneumonia it became worse and worse after about 3 or 4 pneumonias. I had constant mucus and coughing and blood coming up and chills an feeling terrible and fevers and the whole 9 yards. I was a mess. Then I had a broncosphy in hospital with last pneumonia and they found a bug called nocardia. So the doctor put me on sulfatrim to kill this bug. Since I have been taking this drug I am perfectly well. I have no symptoms whatsoever of bronchiectasis. I have been taking this drug in syrup form, 2 teaspoons twice daily for 7 and a half months and I am perfect. Who knows what the future holds but its wonderful for now at least. I see the doctor next month and see what he says. Anyway I am 82 years old and since this is the 60 of yesterday I guess everything is going good. Maybe we can get to the cause of or cure of this disease if everyone tells their story.
