PATHS Certificate Program

Recruiting for New Students for 2013 Direct Support Professional Program

The PATHS Program

is a professional certificate program offered at the Center on

Disability and Development at Texas A & M University that prepares

graduates to become Direct Support Professionals;

for a career serving people with disabilities. The two

semester program offers classroom instruction that provides participants

with the required skills to be successfully employed in a community setting

serving people with disabilities. Enrichment courses are also offered to

further enhance the quality and depth of the training. During the final half of

the program, participants will be placed in an onsite paid practicum position,

which will give them on-the-job training and experience. For more

information about the PATHS program, log on to http://paths.tamu.edu.

For persons with developmental disabilities who have an interest

in training to become a Direct Support Professional, but need additional

supports, log on to http://b2c.tamu.edu
