Guest guest
Hi Pam, I know what you mean. Sometimes I wish that we had some kind of visible disibility so that people would maybe show some understanding or at least try to work with us not against us. I still has to wear a soft collar when I ride in the car. When it is cold I will wear it inside instead of leaving it in the car. When I wear it people can be so different. Nicer in a way. It is harder when you are young. I am older so its okay if I get tired faster and hurt more, it's my age showing. When you are in school you get no break. Teachers say you should get more sleep at home and you should just " try " harder. And other kids can be so mean. Being " very sick " is to hard for them to except ( teen think nothing can happen to them ) so they have to make light of it or just make things up. Please tell your daughter to hang in there. I was where she is now and I know it is hard, but just remember that there IS something wrong with her health and she knows it, her family knows it and God knows it and that is what matters. What the kids at school is not important (I did not say that it didnt matter or that it dosn't hurt) it is not important. What is important is taking care of yourself, being the best you can be and handle each day with grace from God and hope. God bless. in NC ------------------------------------------------------------------------
