Guest guest
Arlen: I had the open lung biopsy in Nov. ' 03.I went in on aFri. morning, had the procedure at about 5:30 that afternoon and was out about 7:00 the next morning. I was sore for a few days but was back to work the following Weds.. The only side affect, long term, are the scars from the procedure. If I get a chest cold or am coughing badly for some reason that area may get a little achy. I believe it is well worth the above to know exactly what is in there. Gordon Arlene Arlene:You asked me about the side effects of lung biopsy, and all I remember is the lung doctor telling me the percentage of side effects is quite high. So maybe someone else could help you!The city "Cambridge" (Ontario) came from amalgamation of 3 towns (Galt, Preston and Hespeler) years ago, and is 2 1/2 hours from Detroit, Southern Ontario.Bill Gordon, I'm surprised you spent so little time in the hospital for your biopsy. They kept me 3 days, but told me beforehand that it would be about that long for the lung drainage to get down to an acceptable level. I did notice a "thumping" in my chest when I put my hand on the scar when coughing. It's gone away now, but my biopsy was early December. Dorothy, There may be an "Arlene" in this support group, but she ain't me. OK, my Canadian friend, it's 5 minutes in the penalty box for you. Call me Arlene again, and the gloves are coming off. Just kidding. 75% of my family tree came from Canada, around your area. All my best.....Arlen (male, no E on the end)
