EI is Early Intervention. Early Intervention is a program from birth-3. An Early Interventionist will come into your home and work with your child each week ( for an hour is South Carolina). We complete an IFSP that will have goals that we will work on and we will help get you speech, occupational, and physical therapy if needed. Early Intervention is a great program. For early intervention, you need to go to any good hospital's occupational therapy / physio therapy department. They help children to do the regular physical activities. If you go to any such place you will find amazing number of children coming there for different reasons. Check whether they are already hadling small children. I have taken my son to a hospital nearby for 1 year till last October. He is 2 years old now. Started walking three months back though he still do not know to get up from floor/bed himself. He says few words like Pappa, mamma, didi, ball. And also understands our commands and follows them to good extend. He shows the bathroom when he wants to 'potty'. Now I want him to spend some good time with his same age children. I think that will help him develop lot of skills himself.
