Guest guest
Any plastic that is soft and not brittle or stretchy probably has some lead in it. The labels are new, not the lead. I often wonder why people from developing countries often have much clearer minds than people who have grown up in the industrial heartland or agricultural areas. (Orchards are the worst, because of the lead arsenate they used to use, and of course now there is mercury from coal fired power plants to worry about when they till the soil) Perhaps longtime exposures to lead from multiple vectors is part of the answer? Lead has been proven to effect IQ *DRAMATICALLY* (by 10-20 points or MORE) Simply driving a lot in the era before lead was banned (not that long ago) would have exposed people to significant amounts of lead in the form of automobile exhaust fumes. This lead is now inside of people's bones. I have been tested for lead and my *blood* lead levels are *now* very low, but I have no idea what my exposure was in the past..
