titanium dioxide(ti02) and its disinfecting quality- true or false?

Ive been hearing a lot of good things about ti02. it is an all-cure

product that prevents mold build-up, sick building syndrome,etc with

just the sun as its catalyst.its already being used in public places

like their subways and hospitals in japan.

i hope someone here can attest or contest their claim.

also, if theres a product out in the market already please send me

their brand names. thanks
