Watertown town clerk wins mold dispute lawsuit

WATERBURY, Conn.—A Superior Court judge has ruled that Watertown

wrongfully terminated the town clerk's salary last year in a dispute

over medical problems and mold.

environment in the Town Hall because of mold.

went on medical leave in February 2006. She claimed the 113-

year-old Town Hall has widespread mold problems because of water

damage and that's causing her health problems.

The town cut off her pay, but the judge says is an elected

official, not a regular employee and as such her salary must be paid

regardless if she performs her duties.
