Guest guest
You might consider that the house you moved into or the place you might work is making you sick. The fatigue and pins & needles (and other funky neuro stuff) were the primary symptoms I had from mold exposure. Mold exposure can also be a trigger for autoimmune diseases and/or it can greatly exacerbate the symptoms. It also can result in lots of hormonal imbalances as the mold toxins damage the hypothalamus which produces MSH which is the mother hormone. The genotype that predisposes one to get ill from mold is the same gene that predisposes one to celiac (DQ2), which is why not everyone that is exposed to mold becomes ill. Childbirth is one of the most common triggers of autoimmune disease. Celiac and autoimmune thyroid disease often go hand in hand as the genes that predispose one to celiac are also one of the genotypes that predispose one to autoimmune thyroid disease. During pregnancy your immune system functioning changes to ensure that your body doesn't decide the fetus is a foreign entity that it should attack. That's one of the reasons why undiagnosed autoimmune disorders are very common in cases of miscarriage as the immune system is not functioning properly - there are lots of research articles on this in pubmed. After childbirth, your immune system re-adjusts and sometimes it gets too aggressive and the autoimmune stuff is triggered. And, of course, stress is another trigger for disease of any sort, so if you have the predisposition for autoimmune disease, then stress can trigger it. B. I moved to El Paso this past March. I started feeling really sick right after I moved to El Paso. I had horrible fatigue pins and needles etc.. I found a doctor in Las Cruces, N.M. He seems to be okay and gave me a through exam and did some blood work. I have never felt the way I feel I should for 5 years. I had my sixth baby, moved out of state and my mom died all with in an eight week period. I develoved hypothyroidism after this period in my life. actually almost immediately I started having symptoms. I want a doctor that will fix all of these hormonal issues. I take progesterone drops and was on 3 grains of armour. I just increased it to 4 and 1/4 grains a week and a half ago and started to feel much better. I still have the digestive issues though. I also have celiac disease and anemia, which popped up after this stressful time in my life. If anyone has any suggestions I am all ears. I was also told on another yahoo group for adrenals that there is a new way to fix adrenal fatigue without cortisol?? have not found out what it is yet. Any suggestions are much appreciated. Guest guest
One more thing that I realized could be a problem is that it looks like you are vegan (at least based on your email address). Vegans and vegetarians need to be very aggressive about getting enough B12 as you cannot get it from your diet if you don't eat meat. The pins and needles can be a symptom of low B12. Since you have celiac, you likely are not absorbing any oral B12 you might be taking. So you need either sublingual, injections or transdermal. I find the latter extremely effective. The sublingual is not as effective as the injections. If you do injections you want to make sure that you get single dose vials without the adjuvants (e.g., aluminum) and preservatives that are in the multidose vials. It is quite expensive though which is why I recommend transdermal. And, you need your Vitamin D tested - virtually all celiacs are low in D as the damage to the intestines results in poor absorption of all the fat soluble vitamins. .
