I'm a medically retired Dept. of Defense employee (Computer

Specialist -DTRA) & am receiving Social Security Disability due to

exposure to Toxic Mold in my workplace. I worked for an agency

who's mission is unconventional weapons of mass destruction to

include chemical, nuclear and biological. This agency has a

biological incident in their own building and have left me with no

medical assistance. I am currently fighting a Workers Comp. claim

and my HMO will not cover my medical due to it being a work related

incident (per their words). I am part of the clinical trials/

published studies (@Sept. 04) of Dr. Gray, Dr. Kilburns

etc....which missed being included (by only months) in the

government report from the Institute of Medicine of the National

Academies " Damp Indoor Spaces and Health " (May

04).

I have a copy of a 1997 Dept. of Army report " Medical Aspects of

Chemical and Bological Warfare " , Chap. 34 " Trichothecene

Mycotoxins " which address " Mycotoxins, by products of fungal

metabolism, have been implicated as causative agents of adverse

health effects in humans and animals ..... " and its use in

Biological warfare referred to as " yellow rain " . I noticed the

Globe has the Mold Cycle but a very important part of that cycle

which causes a lot of damage is the mycotoxins created by the mold

and its cycle. I have severe neurological damage, lung damage &

asthma, chemical encephalopathy, peripheral neuropathy,

proinflammatory immune toxicity, fibromylgia ..the symptoms and

diagnosis is long.

Making it more difficult is I'm also multi-chemically sensitive so I

require a protected environment free from mold, fungus and chemicals

(pesticides, cleaning detergents, perfumes, solvents, paints,

protectants, etc....to include all organic diet ) otherwise I have

from mild to severe reactions which include swelling, nausea,

vomiting, coughing, unable to breath, confusion, memory loss,

rashes, pain throughout body (muscles and joints), unable to sleep,

sweats/cold chills, etc.....and with so many chemicals being used

in our society ...I am sick all the time unless I isolate myself.

My former agency (DTRA) is ignoring this problem (to include myself)

and are still in the building which also has Counter Intelligence

offices. This causes me concern since biological warfare is their

area so they should be well aware of the effects. This could be a

very effective terrorist weapon - easy to plant and let time and

environment do the rest. Pretty soon you have a group of

individuals who are very ill, not getting much accomplished and

dropping off from Cancer or some other disease. I went from running

3 miles a day, working out in Gym, Computer Specialist w/great job,

attending College with high GPA to this. It has destroyed my life.
