Guest guest
How does one find a tester or remediator one can trust? The " outside " vs. " inside " mold testing is a true con. When we moved to our home, they told us it was " fine " after that kind of comparative test... of course, their liability is limited to the test fee. Well, I now know that in mid-July in southeastern PA the outdoor counts are sky-high and you might die closed in a house with anywhere near those counts, especially if they include asper/pen. types and stachybotrys. Even the first enviro doc I saw when I started to get sick last fall said that indoor/outdoor testing was fine. That enviro doc was also totally against ERMI testing... of course, she told me all I needed was more steroids, and she can't understand why they didn't make me better, and " we don't measure C4a. " (One of her colleagues also told me that there was something going on with my health, but he " couldn't give a disease name to it " ... he repeatedly ignored my request for an explanation of why my C4a doubles every month and the fact that I lose twice as much fluid as I consume.) I've also had remediators say that stachybotrys is okay as long as it's not active -- are they clueless or deceptive? Finding knowlegeable and safe testers and remediators can be an uphill battle (we've used several). On another note, does anyone know of any toxin-binders that work besides CSM and Welchol? My experience with both was swelling face and closing throat/choking, plus reddening of the skin, then a symptom cascade. Also wondering if anyone with RAD has tried nebulized glutathione. thanks, arlene
