Guest guest
I use Iodoral, which has 12.5 mg of iodine. Only take one a day. It was enough to correct most of my husband's hypo symptoms. It is also recommended to build up some iodine in your system for when the radioactive material released from the next earthquake in Japan finally finishes off that reactor that is still in crisis mode... Just my opinions from reading and from my PCP. Marti > > > > On Sat, May 12, 2012 at 7:18 PM, k5vlk <K5VLK@... > > wrote: > > Iodized salt is not enough, altho I still use it some. Guest guest
It may be worth taking some iodine for its non-thyroid uses. It is anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal, and anti-parasitic. With more and more bacteria becoming resistant to antibiotics, it may be a good idea to keep our iodine levels as high as we can tolerate. It aids in wound healing and may inhibit the growth of cancerous cells. I can't tolerate much of it myself, as it activates the little piece of thyroid gland that I have left and gives me tachycardia. You may wish to read "Iodine" by Dr. Brownstein, also "Iodine and Breast Cancer" by Dr. Derry (The first Thyroid Martyr). > > > Iodized salt is not enough, altho I still use it some.
