Guest guest
The levels of T3 will peak around 4-6 hours after you take your Armour, so my guess is that your labs are not accurate. You should get your labs done before taking any thyroid that day. Your Free T4 is at about the bottom quarter of the range. Many of us need our Free T4 mid-range and our Free T3 in the mid to upper end of the range. And, again, I don't think your Free T3 value is really reflective of what your body has to use overall. Too much T3 all at once can make you hyper - that's why the majority of people that take Armour or any T3 product take it in divided doses - usually 2-3 times per day. B. > > Hi Everyone - lately I have been experiencing stiff, sore joints/muscles in the hands and general body soreness, along with numbness/tingling in the hands/feet - feet tend to fall asleep when sitting. My first thought is I must be hypo again, however, I have had some of these same symptoms when hyper as well, my labs are TSH .072 (.45-4.5) FT4 1.07 (.82-1.77) FT3 4.4 (2.0-4.4) > When walking around, feel like I am dragging, like my legs don't want to move. I am taking 2 1/4 grains Armour. 2.5 Grains Armour made me hyper, with bad neck pain, I have slight neck pain now. Anyone have these symptoms with hyper, or just hypo? not sure if I should reduce my meds or what, those labs are done 6 hours after taking my meds. Thanks! >
Guest guest
OK, so I will get my labs in the a.m. next time with no meds taken - when I have split my 2 grains, I have felt worse - hypo-like - maybe I should take the 2 grains in the a.m. and add 15 mg later on? (I am assuming I need to raise here) > > > > Hi Everyone - lately I have been experiencing stiff, sore joints/muscles in the hands and general body soreness, along with numbness/tingling in the hands/feet - feet tend to fall asleep when sitting. Guest guest
So, the fact that you feel hypo when you split your two grains may be indicative of the dosage not being sufficient. The idea of taking a larger dose first thing in the morning and the smaller dose later works well for me - although a split of 1.5 grains and .75 grains (45 mg) might work a little better. I take 50 mcg of Cytomel first thing in the morning and then 37.5 later in the day. B.
