There is only one specialty laboratory that does this testing. Before I

recommend which tests I would like more information from you regarding the molds

to which you were exposed. You can either e-mail me or call me at 775-636-8513

(Carson City, Nevada area).

RE : [] Mold DNA and Mycotoxins in Tissues and

Body Fluids

JTPD> Dr. Thrasher -

JTPD> Does this mean that the mycotoxins mutate human DNA and incorporate

themselves in the human host, for example in the bone marrow of a human,

changing the inherited DNA?

JTPD> Thanks.

JTPD> toxicologist1 <toxicologist1@...> a écrit : I do not know if your

readers realize the following: Currently we

JTPD> are able to test for mycotoxins and mold DNA in tissue and body

JTPD> fluids. In addition, these same tests can be applied to bulk

JTPD> sampling and air sampling of homes and buildings. Two examples of

JTPD> two different families that I am working with are:

JTPD> Air conditioning systems: contaminated with identified species of

JTPD> Aspergillus and Penicillium. Mycotoxins present in the bulk samples

JTPD> from the A.C. system are trichothecenes, aflatoxins and ochratoxin.

JTPD> Urine screens on one family revealed trichothecens. In addition, the

JTPD> man of the house had liver cysts. Biopsies of the liver revealed

JTPD> aflatoxins 15 times greater than control values. The entire family

JTPD> is scheduled for a urine screen for mycotoxins and sputum for mold

JTPD> DNA and mycotoxins.

JTPD> The second family is currently having urine screens done for

JTPD> mycotoxins.

JTPD> We have also done biopsy and autopsy materials revealing mold DNA as

JTPD> well as mycotoxins, particularly aflatoxins.

JTPD> We have done autopsy on a 3 month old girl who died of Reyes Syndrome

JTPD> and had hemoytic anemia at birth and which re-occured just before her

JTPD> death. Autopsy specimens revealed aflatoxins and Aspergillus DNA.
