Guest guest
Well said Peg!!! Can we just pretend for a minute that I'm new? = ) I think that was the best welcome I've seen to date. Someone once told me that parenting is the most challenging job I'd ever have but definitely the most rewarding!!! Welcome ! Tell us about your bundle of joy. Re: Welcome ! Welcome !! I hope this place is a comfort, constant support, and resource to you, as you are NOT alone. We all care about each other, and are blessed to be there FOR each other. The journey may be hard and long, but knowing someone is there to say, " take my hand, we will walk with you " is comforting to say the least. I'm Peg! ( grandma to Raven, Age 4 MDS, and Kendra, age 7, Gavin, age 5, and Lil' Larry, age 18 mos.) We'll be here ;-) __________________________________________________

Guest guest
that is so nice that you are finding out information to help your friend. This group for me has given me so much insight into my daughter, I hope this helps your friend. Mosaic DS comes with a lot of the same things that DS comes with yet on the other hand it is so different. I have found that even at the DS clinic they do not know what to make of my daughter, so the group has been so helpful. Being a first time mother I sit and wonder is that the MDS or is it just her? Is this what a typical child does or is it because she has MDS? More and more I find that it is just what a typical child would do or learn with a few obsticals. I do find myself working with Isabella much more than I probably would have if she was not dianosised because I want to make sure she has every opportunity she can. This is really working out well. Isabella does not know boby parts (lol) (the rest of the group will get that), but she can pick out of a book a pig, dog, cat, cow and chicken. Te ll your friend that the extra effort in game playing will really pay off. She has also learned a few bad things on her own such as; if I use my hand to cover something that she wants she trys to Bite my hand to get me to move it. Yep we are now working on not biting. Anyway welcome to the group and feel free to ask questions. You are a wonderful friend!
