I'm sure others have suggested good shoes for when you're out in public. In a message dated 2/4/2008 8:45:22 A.M. Mountain Standard Time, jhunter5431@... writes: Why doesn't she get PT? I would ask your coordinator to get an evaluation for her to see if she needs them. If not, that's great but then if she does need them they can get them for you. My PT was entitled to a FREE pair and she got them for my youngest daughter. They are so little and cute. She will be getting new ones within the next couple of months as she is outgrowing them. Jen Just had to share and need advice Hi all it is official Isabella is walking. Today she walked across the room. She took at least 10 steps without holding on. Now here is my question what kind of shoes should I get her? She has a lot of cute little shoes but I guess it is time for walking shoes. Should I get her tennis shoes or those baby white shoes? Also any certain brands? Sue Isabella 1 ____________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _ Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Yahoo! Guest guest
Does she have any braces or inserts? We get DCs or Striderites because of the inserts we have for my daughters. Make sure there is a good arch and that the shoe is wide and not narrow. I've had my therapist go out shopping for shoes with me and one of my therapist one weekend was shopping and picked up 4 different pairs of shoes. I chose the pair I wanted and she returned the others. I love my therapists that go out of their way to help our children. Guest guest
I agree with Donna - I also had foot surgery in 2005 - and have Flat feet (inherited from my mom - which I then passed to my daughter along with her stubborness) and New Balance is the only thing I wear - except when I have to dress up for work and church ;-) They are the only brand to really support the arches - they even have an extra set of holes across the arch so when you lace them up you can feel them pulling up your arch.
