Guest guest
I ordered some charcoal cabin filters for my car made by ATP. On the box they advertised a product called " Clean 'n Coat " . Here's what it said on the box: " Under normal operating conditions, moisture builds up on the evaporator cooling coil. Most of this moisture drains out of the system. Some moisture can remain on the evaporator cooling coil and mix with pollutants and microscopic contaminants. Soon, everytime the air conditioner is turned on, out comes that " dirty socks' odor. ATP part no. AT-2ll Clean'nCoat is sparayed onto the evaporator case to clean the cooling coil and then coat it. This coating repels water for up to 1 year. No moisture buildup- NO SMELL! No. AT-2ll is not a perfume or masking agent - it attacks the problem. " I checked the MSDS but the ingredients are a " trade secret " . It just says that the chemical family is latex polymer. Does anyone - especially Jeff - have any thoughts about this product? Do you think it would work? Does it sound safe? Has anyone heard of it before? Thanks. Saralee Rosen homerose@...
