Did you mean you posted in the Yahoo photos? I went and looked and couldn't

find it. Or did you mean in your person photos album like when we saw the

wedding pictures?

I will go look again.

Re: OT - Mom's Park Bench

What state is the bench in? If i Google Earth, I probablly wouldn't

be able to see it, anyway.

Hi ,

This is probably a very stupid question on my part but what is the difference

between a public park and a private one in MA? Is this another American thing?

Here in TO we only have public parks and anyone can go to them. Do people have

to pay to go to the private park?

Oh , maybe your mom is still walking with her dogs on that dog run as

you sit there?

Re: OT - Mom's Park Bench

Yes, when my dad passed we had a beech tree planted in a different

city park (private park where my folks used to live - Lin knows what

I'm talking about since she met my mom years before Lewy... stayed in

my mom's condo at the time since my mom had a B & B business.... never

realizing we'd meet under these circumstances years later...) Then a

friend of my mother's had another tree planted in her memory in FL.

Although I must say that putting a park bench in front of the " dog

run " at this park doesn't allow me to go and get much reflection

done. Sat on the bench for the first time yesterday and my thoughts

kept getting interrupted by barking dogs. LOL :) But it's appropriate

nonetheless since mom was such a dog lover and used to bring her dogs

to that dog run herself. And both parents loved the loud city life...

I'm sure your parents are awfully proud and happy.

Thanks for explaining this to me. Its very beautiful!

Re: OT - Mom's Park Bench

Instead of trying to explain the private park - here's a link to the

park itself:

http://tinyurl.com/22865c

Only those residents whose homes connect to the park has access to

the park... that's what makes it private... (if you look on page 4,

my mom's name is mentioned b/c she left a stone bench there when she

moved to new location...)

PS - my parents had their 40th wedding anniversary held in the

park... The neat thing.. when you're in the park it doesn't feel like

you're in the city anymore... kind of magical... :)

Of course! I just didn't go far enough. I don't know what I was thinking.

Just to anxious to see the bench, I guess.

Thanks. It is really nice. And I saw the park too. What a wonderful idea in

todays world. Too bad we don't have more things operate like the park.

Yes it's in the Photos section on this board - my album is more than

one page so you'll have to go to 'next page' to view... :) Or go to

HOME (from left column) and it's the 2 NEW PHOTOS listed at top...

Hi dear , I looked at the bench and was very impressed with the look

and quality of it. Yes, it will be better with a larger plaque. I am very

happy for you to have this in honor for your Mother. A very nice tribute.

Love a bunch,

Imogene
