Guest guest
Dana, Thanks for the link and info on Larry . But I must say that after reviewing the Web site the only substantive information I received was how to contact them for a free consultation. However, the free consultation is a sales pitch for their products and their services. They also say the EPA recommendations for responding to mold issues is " outdated. " My best guess for that judgment is because EPA does not advocate the use of chemicals on mold. Rather they emphasize stopping the moisture and physically removing the mold without cross-contaminating. So I called the number and spoke to Larry 's son. They have only one office so any inspections or remediations include travel expenses from Atlanta, GA, which is not practical. They do recommend removal of mold, which is good, but I don't agree with their emphasis on disinfecting (killing) mold. They offer a certificate of guarantee but like all the others the guarantee is void if the location gets wet again. Their rationale is they kill the current mold so it can't grow back but can't stop the always-present mold from growing on the same spot. So what good is the warranty? Do you have any information I missed? Guest guest
Carl, thanks for looking into this. I had also read more into their website, and with some other input from someone else I had decided not to put their video's on my website.. Darlene " Carl E. Guest guest
Carl, Thank you for commenting on this and clarifying some things. I have spoken to Larry and his son several times and it seemed to me all I ended up getting was a sales pitch. You know, me,me,me, I, I, I. I was not overly impressed, especially after sending them a client that was absolutely not pleased with them that all. That was the last time. KC --- In , " Carl E. Guest guest
But he has a book out about mold that I was referring to, not necessarily the website in this case. I was aware that he is located in Atlanta and is a mold company that also has products for sale. maybe someone who lives in Atlanta that needs someone to come in an inspect or help get rid of the mold would appreciate me posting this. Guest guest
OK so lets clarify. I was not referring this website, per say, just the book by Mr. and the videos that are on the site about mold. If they have bad business I would not know that, I do not live in Atlanta and have never used their services and I never recommend that people do not research things before they trust any business. It was simply info. and another book to look into further if you wish to. Dana > > > > Dana, > > > > Thanks for the link and info on Larry . Guest guest
Dana, Please don't take it personally. We are all learning daily. There is no way even the best of the best can know everything about these companies, etc., etc. By you posting this is how we learn and who we can trust. I've posted many websites, not because of the product or their business, but because I just found the article interesting. If someone takes the initative to do a background check and a little more, this always helps tremendously. Many don't have the time to do that. But we are always grateful when someone does. We tend to jump when we find new information or a website, including myself, but fail to investigate further. I guess this helps prevent us from losing hope and that's all this is about.Hope. I do live in the Atlanta area and I thank you for posting the link. But I am also familiar with this company and the clients that they failed. Guest guest
I think its interesting how many people are trying to take advantage of the national disconnect on mold to make money on people's lack of knowledge. There are ways to help the situation morally, while making money, and ways which I think are OvertlyExploitative Its not always obvious which is which. Guest guest
Dana, I'll echo KC's comments and apologize if you were offended by my post. As KC said there are lots of posts for info, Web sites and other info. Sometimes those posting the info are actually promoting their products under the disguise of helpful info. I haven't checked the book so I can't comment on that but I should have been more clear about why I posted. Thank you for responding and clarifying as communication is how we all learn and correct misunderstandings. Carl Grimes Healthy Habitats LLC ----- > Dana, > > Please don't take it personally.
