Courage,

I would think your Mom's caregiver would know if the pacifier was a thermometer

or not? Seems strange she didn't have any other info to share with you.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

You just won't believe how I chuckled over your email about how " IF I don't get

to come " to the caregiver meeting. That sounded like back pedaling if I ever

heard it. Between I and , I think they better be arranging birthday

parties while you are home, as you won't be there the week of the cg's meeting!

National Holidays too! Anyone with a party knew a year ago you might not be

home some week in July or Aug.! I can't even believe you would put it out that

you might be tied up the week of the cgs meeting!

That ain't going to happen! LOL

Pacifier

Hi All,

Since I'm not feeling 100% right now I didn't go in to see mom but I called her

caregiver and she told me that either my sister or one of the nurses assistants

has been trying to give my mom a baby's pacifier - yes, you read right - a

baby's pacifier!!!!!!! I have never heard of this one!!!!!!! I think this is

coming from my sister as I can't see a paid employee taking such liberties.

I am rolling my eyes on this one.

Hi Donna,

As far as I know it not a thermometer but thanks for mentioning it Leona - I

didn't even know there was such a thing as a pacifier with a thermometer - good

idea. Mom's caregiver just showed up for work and there they were (there are

two of them).

lololololololol...good Lord you guys have got me shaking in my boots over here

re the caregivers meeting. Other than having an emergency with mom I am going!

lololololol.

It's not as if our LOs have much dignity left at the stage your mother is.

Whatever

happened to respect and preserving whatever dignity can be preserved? I am

appalled at

this, even if it is for taking temperature. That can be done in a much more

dignified

manner.
