She is Chinese and was a neonatal specialist for 18 years. She grew up with Eastern Medicine and felt it would compliment her Western training. She did not ask me to stop my rotating antibiotics - but has added some herbs to help with my mucus. She actually put a pin in my arm today and asked if my nose was clear - I said no - she turned it a bit - and I could breath as clear as I can remember - also my chest immediately felt not as tight with mucus.Curious about others experiences. I'm not taking any of these.......but I'm going to go on the web and see if I can get them.... I just went to a Chinese Herbalist on Thursday....He said that my Liver is really really sluggish and asked me if I had been taking any drugs.....of course the answer was yes......so he organized a cleansing of my liver....he also said that the 25 lbs. I gained from the steriods would not start to come off until I did this cleansing.....I really prefer the Chinese way of medicine.... I will let you know how successful I am with finding this stuff and thanks....I'm in Ontario and there is a huge Chinese population here I should be able to get this stuff.. ----- Original Message ----- From: Teambrown To: bronchiectasis Sent: Saturday, March 15, 2008 11:06 PM Subject: RE: Eastern Medicine Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. My mother has lung cancer and we have had some trying days. I am taking something called Congex Extract which is Tangerine, Pinella, Poria, Chinese Licorice, Ginger. This it to decrease my mucus – which she thinks is coming from my stomach. I’m also taking something called Six Gentleman Formula which is a combination of many herbs. This is for mucus and energy. I’m also taking a tea called Sterculia L. Are these any of the things you are taking.
