Guest guest
The Oregon health plan is a insurance program that is offered to those that cant afford regular insurance. And, yes Oregon is in the USA. And, they dont cover alot of things they were not even going to cover my airway clearance system (the vest) even though my pumonologist prescribed it. Thankfully the company had a program for low income folks like me. I am greatful to even have that. It was intended to be a insurance program , for low income kids. But I was lucky enough to get it since I have a condition that makes me eligible. Lucky there's a misnomer! If you have something prescribed that the Oregon health plan wont cover you literally have to appear before a hearings board to prove why you need it. And better make sure you bring records or even your Doctor. They will find a cheaper and usually a less affective means of treating whatever you have Some insurance Huh? nyzki Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Yahoo! Search. Guest guest
I might also add that when you have something, prescribed that is not normally covered. your case is reviewed I might add by a group of so called physcians, who will set and kibitz over weather or not this will be right for you. And usually you are the looser. These are supposed to be trained Doctors who know what I have and they treat me like Crap! Well lets just go for the cheaper alternative. We have to save money. She doesnt need something that will work. We will use the old OUTDATED procedures. Even my antibiotics are generic alternatives to AUGMENTIN. I am sorry to be so ANGRY! I am just tired of being given the runarround and red tape that it takes to recieve descent health care in my town. nyzki Never miss a thing. Make Yahoo your homepage. Guest guest
Thanks. I actually live in northern Calif now, but love Oregon. No "plan" in CA except medical for low income people. Since I'm sixty my husband and I pay $930/mo for our health insurance, plus hefty co-payments. The construction industry is poor right now and this is getting very hard for us to afford. Good luck to you. Kay -------------- Original message -------------- I live in Roseburg, not too far from you. Guest guest
Wow thats pretty stiff. That's really got to be tough on you and your husband. I would not be able to pay that. I am greatful that my insurance doesnt cost me a thing. My poor husband could not even afford to get insurance for us since he is on social security and my medicines and doctor visits would take everything he gets. in good health nyzki
