oh gosh. because i've tried so many supplements AND different health

during the course of my recovery (6.5 years), sometimes it doesn't hit

me right away to share a tidbit or two. so here goes:

when i gave up going to doctors (most of 'em were affiliated with the

#6 Best Hospital in the U.S. at the time) and started doing my own

research and started taking an alternative med approach...one

supplement that i came across was " PureZyme " by Transformation. its

key ingredient is Protease. i think because i was in the midst of

feeling horrible, i didn't notice any difference if it was truly

helping me or not.

a few years later when i got into Ozone Therapy, and getting into

doing liver flushes...another good supplement i took called " Vitalzym "

has Protease in it. (by then, i had stopped taking PureZyme). i

really downed Vitalzym whenever i was having herxheimer effects from

detoxing (from Ozone Therapy).

to sum it up, look for Protease as one of the ingredients when you are

choosing a digestive enzyme. Total Gest which i suggested in a

previous post is excellent. i take Total Gest + multi-vitamins + i've

added Biotin (hoping it'll help with regrowth of my hair & my

fingernails--my 2 remaining symptoms) and nothing else. no

prescription meds whatsoever. (i took Cholestyramine for 4-5 months

back in late 2004-early 2005, but gave up taking it after i felt it

didn't do anything to alleviate my symptoms and the fact that it was

*optional* for me to take it).

i do think PureZyme & Vitalzym are great supplements, if u're not

chronically ill and need some help with inflammation and/or breaking

down proteins in the blood...or like me, when u need the extra boost

to help get through any herxheimer effects.
