Guest guest
My son who is in an inclusion class in our local public elementary school has had the same teacher for the past two years. She has a masters in Special Ed and actually " looped " with him, going from 2nd on to 3rd grade. He was in an enclosed classroom, not the open concept bullcrap. This year the school decided that he can handle not only a new teacher but two additional switch teachers for a total of 3 teachers daily, not including large group. He will also be in an open classroom with several other classes around him. His new home room teacher is brand new to the school but has subbed for his class last year on occasion. We hired Louis Geigerman as our advocate and have requested records on the three teachers' training. If I understand correctly that request can take up to 45 days to be filled per FERPA. So what do I do now?! Do I go to the " meet your new teacher " next week? I am so upset! I know that the school purposefully waited until last week to tell me who his new teacher(s) would be because they knew I would raise hell. I just feel so lost.
