Guest guest
Hi, I am an oldie here but a newbie right now. After being in our 3rd house with a mold issue and being ill all year again, I had to take time out to try to heal and figure out a solution. The house we are we moved in to a year ago and living in has turned out to be yet another mold cover up. Thankfully, we have been very blessed as we are buying a new house. We have not moved yet as we have not closed and there are a few small things the builder needs to do to the house. Lately I have been washing EVERY thing we own and sealing it all in plastic containers after it dries. I am getting rid of a lot as well...like, our mattresses and fabric couch. Anything fabric which can't be washed will have to go. I am very tired as my 91 year old mom has been ill a very long time as well. I am hoping once I get my health back, I won't be so worn out. I spent a night in the hospital last week I fell so ill because of my low immune from mold. For so long, I felt as if there was no more hope because we are not wealthy people and I saw no other way but to live with the mold as it was a losing battle in the constant cleaning and cleaning and not getting far. Well, besides my mother being so ill and at the end of her long long life, things are looking up with the move. Anyway, I have a question. The house we are buying has carpet in the bedrooms. I did not want carpet but, this is the only house we can buy, as I said, we are not wealthy but we were able to get in on a deal. It has great features like vented attic and crawl space and other featurs which prevents mold, something we don't see around here in other new homes. I figured I can live with the carpet a couple of years and then change. Anyway, I have been reading and found out I can seal the carpet. Do any of you know of a good carpet sealer? I want to do this before we move anything in the house and need to know what to use, what is involved and etc. Thanks, Jackie
